Norwegian raises prices on beverage and dining packages
Norwegian Cruise Line has raised the cost of buying drinks or dinner as part of a multi-day package. Specialty dining packages will now cost $10 more per person, while the Ultimate Beverage Package has been raised to $79 per person per day, up from $69. Under the new pricing, which took effect Feb. 26, a three-meal specialty dining package that formerly cost $69 would now cost $79. There is a discount of $10 per person for pre-purchasing the package online. Dining packages are available in three to 14 meals, with the cost of the 14-meal package going to $219 per person from $209. The Corks & Caps beverage program, which covers soft drinks, beer and wine, increases from $54 to $59 per person, per day. The cost of a soda package will remain at $7.50 for teens and adults, $5 for children. Most ships are already charging the new prices, with the Norwegian Gem scheduled to start March 2, Norwegian Pearl on March 3 and Norwegian Epic on March 6. On Pride of America, which does not have the Ultimate Beverage Package or Corks & Caps, the dining changes take effect on March 15.
