Carnival Sensation Cancels Ocho Rios Call Due to Medical Emergency

Carnival Cruise Lines Carnival Sensation has had to cancel a planned call in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Monday due to a passenger onboard in need of urgent medical attention. Carnival Sensation had to return to Miami Saturday evening while en route to Ocho Rios in order to debark the guest. The guest disembarked early Sunday morning from the ship to a Miami Dade Rescue vessel and was taken to a shore side medical facility for further treatment.
Due to the time involved in the deviation, Carnival Sensation was forced to cancel the Monday call in Ocho Rios, Carnival said. The ship is due to return to Port Miami on Thursday, May 4, as scheduled.
Carnival sincerely apologies for the disruption of our guests vacation and is providing them with a 20 percent future cruise credit, the line said..
