Best-selling novelists Mary Higgins Clark and Lynne Truss will join an array of prominent guest speakers sailing aboard
Silversea Cruises’ Silver Whisper, which will depart for a 115-day world cruise from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 5, 2013. The itinerary will cross the equator four times, visiting 52 destinations in 28 countries with overnight stays in several ports. The ship will call at ports in New Zealand and Australia; French Polynesia; Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore; and Africa's western coast. In addition to Clark and Truss, guest lecturers will include military historian Nigel West, Beirut hostage and hostage negotiator Terry Waite, British journalist Michael Buerk, historian Philip Hurst and opera impresario Thomson Smillie.
